Puerto Maldonado is a city in southeastern Peru, capital of the Department of Madre de Dios, located on the edge of the confluence of the Madre de Dios River and the Tambopata River. It is one of the main commercial centers of the Amazon.


Day 1: Puerto Maldonado – Hostel – Tambopata Reserve

After a restful break, you will have as an introduction a walk in the tropical forest, guided by experts and experienced local guides, who will take you on our trails and you will be able to see the wonderful flora some trees that can be more than five hundred years old, At the same time you can see birds such as toucans, orioles, trogons, macaws, monkeys, snakes, butterflies, etc. You have the opportunity to experience the magic of our forest that is next to the TAMBOPATA NATIONAL RESERVE, (278,000 thousand protected hectares).

At night alligator tours, by the river MADRE DE DIOS with lantern light, look for alligators, these can measure up to three meters, on sand banks and we can also see the capybara the largest rodent in the world that weighs up to 60 kilos, return to the lodge dinner and rest.

Day 2: Canopy – Island of Monkeys – Giant Otter

(5.30am) in the morning a small walk to the canopy, climb to a platform 40 meters high, which will allow us to have a bird’s eye view, from here, you can see different species of birds, like, toucans, trogons, macaws, eagles, orioles, etc.

After breakfast, Towards the island of the monkeys located in front of our lodge, we crossed the river Madre de Dios and looked for the different species of monkeys by the trails that we have on this island and then by boat we went to the Tambopata National Reserve where we walk 5 km. In the middle of the dense tropical forest, until we reach the Sandoval lake, (inhabits piranhas) one of the largest in the reserve, this lake is of a breathtaking beauty and we will see many wild animals, and in the middle of the excitement of these. Lunch typical of the area, after lunch we will take a boat ride rowing and appreciate a variety of birds and monkeys of different species (shansho, cormorant, jacanas, puma heron, buzzards, cotomono, monkeys, black machin, pigeons and lazy).

Perhaps we will have an encounter with a giant otter family (almost two meters long) that is in danger of extinction and the largest recorded alligators over 5 meters long, return to the lodge to enjoy the extraordinary spectacle of the sunset on the Madre de Dios river. Dinner and rest

Day 3: Return to Puerto Maldonado

Breakfast and return to the city for the visit to the main market and see variety of exotic fruits of the jungle, transfer to the airport Ó to the terrestrial terminal.
