This walk takes place above 4000 m.s. until reaching 5200 m.s.n.m. during our tour. This snowy mountain is now visited by thousands of tourists, it takes place in a spectacular and diverse panorama, giving rise to its geography, geology, erosions, deglaciations, snow-covered mountains (Mariposa, Callangate, Colquecruz, Campa, etc), fauna and flora typical of the height, as well as picturesque customs of the inhabitants of the Peruvian Andes, can be appreciated and enjoyed, in the artisan capital of Peru in textileria, typical dances of the Ausangate Valley.


Day 1: Cusco – Ocongate – Tinki (3950 m.a.s.l.)

Our company, will pick up our passengers at 08:00 am to direct us to our point of trek, during our trip we will pass through picturesque typical villages of the highlands; arriving at the town of Urcos we will have a spectacular panorama, where you can see the whole Vilcanota river range. Then we arrive at the town of Tinki which is at 3850 masl, where we will begin the trek, this day will be a short trip to acclimatize, we will arrive at a nice small town where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Upis – Pachanta – Ausangate (4450m.)

After breakfast, we will continue the tour until we reach the Q’ampa pass, where we will have the opportunity to appreciate the snow-capped Apu Ausangate, having a view of the entire valley, after our visit to the Q’ampa pass, our tour continues to the town of Pacchanta, on the way we can see magnificent landscapes full of colored lagoons, where the guide will explain the reason for the color of them, we will also appreciate different species of Andean birds, this area is known as the natural reserve of Huallatas and vizcachas and other wild animals of the place.

After the walk we will arrive to our campsite to enjoy the thermal baths with more than 40 ° c.

Day 3: Pacchanta – Tinki – Cusco

After breakfast, we will walk 3 hours approximately through the typical Andean landscape, then arrive at the town of Tinqui, where we will board our return transport to the city of Cusco.
